I Get It.
I’m one of the few coaches who only works with founders. (I’m currently unaware of any other coaches with this distinction.) I work with founders because I am one myself. I understand how a founder thinks. I understand how deeply invested we are in the organizations we build. But we can be our organization’s greatest asset or its largest liability.
There’s no job description for a founder. We are responsible for creating our own role within our organization. As founders, we shoulder an immense amount of responsibility. Most of that responsibility, however, is never explicitly stated. Most of what we do is the result of our implicit understanding of what is expected of us as founders and leaders. These implicit expectations which drive us are seldom discussed. Instead, we reveal them through our actions, in a painful process of trial and error. I know this process all too well and have failed startups to show for it.
Together, my clients and I make their implicit assumptions explicit. Together we reveal what is motivating their actions, allowing them to achieve greater success and avoid unnecessary failures.
